3D Printed Hollow Microneedles for Treating Skin Wrinkles Using Different Anti-Wrinkle Agents: A Possible Futuristic Approach

Skin wrinkles are an inevitable phenomenon that is brought about by aging due to the degradation of scleroprotein fibers and significant collagen reduction, which fundamental basis anti-wrinkle technology in use today. Conventional treatments such as lasering Botulinum toxin have some drawbacks including allergic skin reactions, cumbersome treatment procedures, inefficient penetration products into high resistance stratum corneum. Bearing this mind, cosmetic industry has exploited patient-compliant microneedles (MNs) treat wrinkles, developing several based on solid dissolvable MNs incorporated with antiwrinkle formulations. However, drug administration via these limited molecular weight drugs. Hollow (HMNs) can deliver a wider array active agents, but relatively unexplored area context technology. To address gap, we discuss possibility bioinspired 3D printed HMNs treating paper. We compare previous current anti-wrinkling options, well techniques challenges involved its manufacture commercialization.
